About Colorado Springs Airport (COS, KCOS)
Located 25 minutes southeast of the central business district of Colorado Springs, Colorado Springs Airport, officially the City of Colorado Springs Municipal Airport, is a public-use, civil-military airport in El Paso County. The airport is owned by the city of Colorado Springs and is the second busiest commercial airport in Colorado. The airfield of Colorado Springs Airport has been operating since 1925 and features three runways. The airport is noted for its a low weather-related cancellation and closure rate and diverse facilities, including free WiFi, safe and clean parking lots, and the large windows and skylights ensure the panoramic views of Colorado’s Front Range and Pikes Peak.
