The CJ2 was first delivered in 2000, as a larger alternative to the CJ1. The aircraft has increased speed, power and higher maximum takeoff payload. A more efficient use of fuel achieves greater range and a decrease in required runway length. The cabin is almost three feet longer than the CJ1, and matches the comfort of more expensive jets. Other interior enhancements are enclosed lavatory, diffused LED lighting and a refreshment center.
The cabin is soundproofed and the cockpit is equipped with advanced avionics. Luggage can be stored in external (nose and tail) compartments.
