In 1983, Cessna improved the aircraft, utilized an improved engine (2,500 lbf of thrust), achieved higher altitudes and TKS type anti-icing fluid was used in addition to bleed air. Fuel capacity was increased to 5820 lbs. The wingspan was lengthened to maintain stability and reduce drag, the luggage compartments expanded, aerodynamically improved too.
